Davenport University Spreads Some Warmth

Davenport University is always looking for ways their staff can get involved and give back to the community. Led by the suggestion of a staff member with a personal place in her heart for Children’s Hospital of Michigan DMC, employees at Davenport chose to focus their efforts on collecting hats and gloves to be distributed to patients and families at the hospital. “With winter upon us, we knew wanted to do something to ensure that the children and families leaving the hospital had the warm clothing they needed,” explained Carolyn Andrews, student life coordinator at the Davenport University Livonia Campus.

After promoting their initiative around the office and on a student website, the donations came rolling in! “We were blown away by the overwhelming support we received and have already started to plan our next donation to Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation,” stated Andrews.

Thank you for thinking of us Davenport University, your donations have been more than helpful considering the recent frigid temperatures!
